DryLand Knowledge Resource and Practice Network
The indigenous vegetation practice network has been established to facilitate the exchange of practical and scientific knowledge on issues relating to conservation of indigenous vegetation in the Arid and Semi Arid Lands (ASAL) of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The increasing threat to natural vegetation has not only resulted in biodiversity loss and localized loss of vegetation cover around settlements, but also in reduced resilience of the arid zone ecosystems to recurrent droughts.
This network aims to increase collaboration of work in the conservation and rehabilitation of degraded rangelands by bringing together different players who will share knowledge and experiences.
